After a few conversations with SU, in terms of Icons, they want to keep the planets intact and have the icons centred. I really like this idea. It keeps the colour system and visuals of the overall logo, while splitting the images to individual roles.
I went on to develop and change icons, adding colour and taking into account sizing. The goal of today is to create a Master File for the icons, so it is finalised. We would like to move on to other deliverables like the guide etc.
I hadn't yet created a Societies icon, so Beth took it upon herself to whip one up late last night so I could add it to the master file. She created the idea and vector and huddled individuals that represented 'societies' and 'groups'. I really liked this image. I wanted to increase the line weight but the image became bulky and huddled. I simplified the vector cutting it down to only three people, as well as sharpening the lower edges to a point for a cleaner shape.

I created a guides and measurements to ensure that all icons have roughly the same dimensions. Icon size is still dependent on the orbit size; this is to ensure that the icons don't dominate the space, allowing enough white space whilst also keeping the messages clear and clean.
