I was invited to a meeting with all Student Union officers to get an idea of what we needed to create for this project. Here, we showed some of the first boards we had spent creating. Also it was a time of me, as a new team member to be given the deadlines
Deadlines
Design Deadline: 30th October 2015
Print Deliverables Deadline: 16th November 2015
Elections Finish: 4th February 2016
Voting Dates: 14/15/16th February 2016
The feedback was very positive and helped calmed their fears about the progress of the project
Discussion
We discussed about out plans to use risograph printing and showed examples of the texture it creates. This went down very well and helped us communicate what our final piece will look like.
There was positive feedback on the logo, we explained the concept of interlocking systems. Representing the Union as a machine that needs all execs to function well.
Spoke about colour options, also what risograph will allow us to do. The blue was accepted well and is most likely the colour we will continue with.
The title image was also discussed. The president really liked the visual O and the layout designs we had mocked up.

Feedback
- Choose a lighter line weight, to increase the neatness
- Change ‘Elections’ to 'Student Elections'
- Consider the time constrains of folding mailers. Perhaps simplicity is the best route here.
Additional Information
- Perhaps creating slide images to be used alongside small lectures introducing the Student Elections. It will use the logo and brand guidelines as well as a little information on each role of the executives
- President will assigned us an animation student to help with the animated element of the main logo
- Union will help us to think of ‘tag lines’ for the campaign
